If anyone happens to go on over into the item shop, they'll find a man -- who, to be quite honest, looks more like a boy, if anything -- curled up on the floor of one of the back corners, next to a large pile of stuffed animals and, uh... pillows. He may or may not have knocked all of these over in his sleep. He's quite a graceful sleeper over there, you see. Especially since he's curled up all over one of those pillows. A very large one of those pillows with an image of a certain Toshizo Hijikata on it. Is he aware of it? nope.

...Yeah. May wanna wake him up.]

[may 16; evening]
[The following day, once he's more or less settled and kind of knows of what's going on here, he can be found walking over to Seventh Heaven for food. Except once he gets to the restaurant? He finds the bar. But he decides to actually not get a real drink for once while there. Instead, he gets one of these... milkshake things. A chocolate milkshake. What the heck is a chocolate milkshake. He's staring this thing down with a raised eyebrow before trying it.]

Huh...

[Feel free to poke at the guy who's staring at a milkshake like it's a cup of rainbow brussel sprouts and platypi.]

[Willow, still newly released, decides to take a snack break--she's been researching in the library almost all day now, after all, and isn't exactly making progress anyway.

So into Seventh Heaven she goes, and mosies up to the bar. As she decides what to get, the boy to her left catches her eye: Not only does he look ridiculous, but he's also staring at his milkshake like it's about to eat him, not the other way around.

Settling into her seat, she looks over at him and gingerly points to the mysterious beverage.]

I think it's probably safe to eat. Or...drink, as the case may be. [Are both verbs applicable here? Oh well, not important!]

[If anything, to Heisuke, most of the people here look ridiculous, save for him, Souji, and some others. You people and your weird clothing...!

He glances over at Willow when he notices her plopping onto the seat near him, then back at the milkshake.]

Huh? You sure? I mean, I've seen people drinking 'em, so I figured as much, but... Have you tried one of these?

[She can't help but chuckle at his skepticism.]

Of course. It's just syrup, ice cream and milk. Blended together into yummy, chocolatey goodness. Kids love 'em. [She doesn't outright say "kids like you," but it's there in her tone for those who pay attention.]

[He kind of notices it, and even makes a bit of a face when she says it, but he'll shrug that off.. for now..! He grins.]

Really... In that case, I guess I gotta try it then, huh?

[I mean, yummy, chocolatey goodness sure sounds uh. Yummy.]

[She doesn't respond verbally, but simply sits with an expectant look on her face.

Don't be shy...!]

[Alright then, bottoms up!

Heisuke takes a rather large first sip (for lack of a better term) and his eyes go wide in pleasant surprise.]

Woah... You were right; this really does taste good! [Actually it tastes amazing. But yeah.]

[Now the witch laughs freely--out of genuine mirth, not in a mocking way. His reaction...well, it's cute, and since her general mood has been pretty horrible for the past day now, anything helps.]

I'm glad you like it. [She takes the opportunity to order her own milkshake. Strawberry.]

Don't drink it too fast, though. That's a one-way ticket to the scary land of brain freezes.

[..What's so funny...! He gives Willow a bit of a confused look for a moment, but then just smiles. Strawberry milkshake, huh...

He lets out a laugh at the latter comment.]

Hahaha! Don't worry about that. I'll be fine!

[Which is why he's going to drink this kind of quickly anyway oops.]

If you say so. [She shrugs. No skin off her nose if he wants to find out the hard way, right? And besides, some people don't get brain freezes very easily.]

[He's got this! So he'll just keep on drinking yup.]

So... You're getting a strawberry one, right?

[She nods.] All this talking about milkshakes. Gives a girl a hankering, ya know?

[And wow, Heisuke, that thing is like...halfway gone already.]

[He's really enjoying it, okay..! And soon enough, he'll just have to order another one.]

Yeah, I get that. I mean, after hearing other people talking about it and drinking it, even I felt like I had to have some. Is the strawberry as good as this one?

I suppose so. Strawberry's more about the fruity goodness than the chocolatey.

[And oh, there's hers now! She takes a sip with gusto.] Willow, by the way.

...Um. That's my name.

Hmm... Guess I'll have to try one of those next. [And all of the others--

He grins.] Oh, nice to meet you then, Willow! Mine's Toudou Heisuke, but just call me Heisuke.

Heisuke, got it. Same to you.

So, uh...you new here, or just easily intimidated by ice cream beverages?

Just got here yesterday, actually! And they don't have these kinds of drinks back where I'm from, which is why I was staring at it for a bit. I'm glad I got to try one though; they're pretty good.

[And he intends to try all the flavors before heading back to the apartment.]

Oh! Well...welcome to Luceti. Or something.

Settling in okay? It...took me a little while to get adjusted. A friend from home is here, though. [Has been for three years, which is still incredibly weird to think about.

So she won't think about it. Instead she'll take another gulp of her strawberry shake.]

Huh? Uh, yeah, I guess so. I'm still tryin' to get the hang of it all though. [He's still not sure how okay he is with being here, but... he supposes he's settling in decently. Or something.]

But oh, really? A friend of mine is here too, so I guess that kinda helps a bit.

It does help. If Buffy hadn't been here, I...[She trails off. This kid's a stranger, after all. He doesn't need her life story.] ...Just, it helps.

[She's about halfway done with her own shake at this point, and orders a club sandwich to fulfill her initial reason for being here.]

Helps with adjusting, I guess. [Among other things. Though Heisuke doesn't know that for sure since he's only been here for a day, so...]

Buffy's that friend of yours from home, then?

[Nodding.] Yeah! She's...actually, she works at Good Spirits a lot. The other bar? She's the deceptively small blonde. Buffy's....well, she's been here a while. So she had insider info, I guess.

Oh, right! I remember someone mentioning that one. [except he came here for whatever reason instead] If that's true, then I'll have to make sure to talk to her whenever I go there. [~~maybe she'll be more helpful than souji obv~~]

[~~In all fairness, being more helpful than Souji isn't a huge compliment.~~]

She's helped lots of New Feathers out before, yeah. It couldn't hurt.

[And by now her sandwich is gone, so she collects her things before standing and turning to address Heisuke.]

Ahh he'll have to keep that in mind! Heisuke's planning on sticking around for a while longer though, so he gives Willow a grin and a nod.]
