[Early in the evening, probably around 7PMish or so, Heisuke decides to throw a voice entry up on the journals! He's been here for a number of months now, and quite frankly, he gets bored easily. Not as many people are out and about and not as many things are going on at night as they do in the day, so he has pretty much been missing everything, since he can't go out in the sun and all. And it sucks. Especially for someone who needs things to do all the time like he does. ~~Bar fight, anyone?~~ But yes! First time starting his own entry on the journals. Here goes-]

Hey, so uh... any of you have any suggestions for things to do at night around here? It gets kinda boring out past midnight, so... [...yep.]

[Action for Chizuru and Hijikata]
[Well, one possible thing to do at night here apparently is go to the beach! Heisuke has looked around there a few times, but going alone can end up being a bit boring and a downer. Sooo this time he decided to invite Chizuru along! Alone. At night. In an empty area. While Hijikata is out on patrol. What could possibly go wrong, right?!

But in any case, yeah just chilling at the teleporter to bring them to the coast right now. C'mon Chizuru let's go let's go..!]

[After getting reprimanded and yelled at by Hijikata for misunderstandings that occurred earlier that night, Heisuke is now just.. patrolling around the village as per usual. While doing so, he discovers a boom box laying around. "Discovers" being the key word here, since Heisuke has never seen or heard of one before in his life. So what does he do? He pokes at it. Literally. And his poking leads him to switch the music player on and...

...play a certain song at obscenely high volumes at like three in the morning. No big deal, right? Except it may wake people up if they're close by, and Heisuke has no idea how the hell to turn this thing down and oh my god what even is this song he is so confused right now okay IT WON'T STOP MAKE IT STOP. (His shouting at the damn thing probably isn't helping either--)

Sorry you sleepy Lucetians, you.]

[Souji always works at night at the Welcome Center, so when he hears the boom box turn on, he jumps, thinking his Malnosso curse came back. When he realizes it's both too loud and yet too faint for that, he wanders out of the Center and starts looking for the source.

Which is Heisuke.

And a demon box.]

....Toudou-kun?

[Selphie's on her way back home to her current living arrangements when that very loud song blasts her awake and she's looking around for the source of the music. She marches over to Heisuke and promptly turns the music down before casting a sleepy pout at the boom box.]

Too loud.

Why would you wish to be awake at such an hour? Have you been having trouble sleeping?

How about sleeping?

[ He sounds.. fairly apathic and bored in his answer, but he's actually replying with an intention in mind - being up at night is connected to.. well, vampires, and that much is Very Relevant to his interests. ]

[Chizuru doesn't believe Heisuke at first. A beach? Here?! But the landscape doesn't lend itself at all to that sort of setting!

Well...at least that would explain how the fish was so fresh, right?]

...I don't know...

[Chizuru sounds weary about going off to the beach this late in the evening. She totally understood (and agreed with) the logic of playing hooky while Hijikata was out patrolling, but that transporter...it looks really strange.]

Are you sure that's safe?

[Really Chizuru, it's Hijikata's wrath you should be afraid of, not that dinky little teleporter!]

[What. What is that music? Is that... Korean music? It's catchy at least but... what time is it even? And why is it playing so loudly and waking her up?

Maron will sleepily leave her room and look for the source, finding it with someone screaming at the boombox as well.]

Aaaah do you know what time it even is? [She'll watch him for a moment and walk closer, watching the boombox and him.] Do you need help?

[Raenef has found himself outside, looking for the source of this...interesting music. He's looking more for people singing it than some contraption, so it looks like he's going in circles.

...It almost looks like he's sleepwalking.]

[Demon box indeed! I mean, the thing won't even turn off! It's just playing some really weird song and it won't shut up no matter what Heisuke does (which is yelling at it, by the way). He stops yelling briefly upon hearing Souji's voice though and... goes back to yelling to try and speak over the boom box.]

H-hey! Help me out, will ya?!

[Heisuke stops yelling at the box to watch as Selphie marches on over and turns down the music like it's no big deal. First he stares quietly... then in awe... then absolute astonishment... and then...]

What the... How the hell did you do that?!

W-well... N-no, it's not that... I just have stuff I gotta do at night, y'know?

[but heisuke if you had things to do why would you be asking something like this...]

I uh... I have trouble sleeping, y'know?! And I like doing stuff at night anyway.

[Or... something. Heisuke has never been very good at making up excuses.]

[Heisuke just nods triumphantly and throws Chizuru a thumbs up. He can understand why she's wary about entering the transporter, considering how he had been totally unsure of it himself his first time, but... turns out it was fine! And everyone else around the village uses it, anyway.]

Huh? Yeah, it's totally safe! I've used it plenty of times already, and I see other people using it all the time. Don't worry about it.

[At first, Heisuke doesn't even hear Maron approaching, or her initial question. He's too busy yelling at this demonic box thing and trying to figure out how to turn it down. When she approaches him more though, he... barely hears her.]

...Huh? You say somethin'?!

[Well, unfortunately, Heisuke doesn't notice the newcomer quite yet...! He's too busy yelling at this thing, okay... Sorry 'bout that.]

Oi, oi! Cut it out! [Yelling at the boom box yep.]

[Well that's alright, Rae doesn't need to be noticed. But he does notice that the person is yelling at the...thing, and he can thinking of only one thing to hopfully make it stop.

He'll be putting up a small dark purple looking barrier around that thing...which quiets it a little.]

Huh?

[Oh. He must be one of those guys.]

You see this thingee here? [She points at the dial for the volume.] You turn it to the left to turn it down and to the right to turn it up.

[He picked out maybe three words from the mass of foreign gibberish and HAAAAAAY SEXY LAAAAAYDAAAAY, but he at least heard "help." But seriously, Heisuke, what even is this. Toudous are just bad at electronics. Heisuke's counterpart from his world actually blew up a microwave while he was here.

Souji comes a little closer, holding his hands against his ears and yelling in response.]

I'll try to find a rock! Can't you just smash it?!

[She catches onto that, unfortunately. Even if she doesn't know Heisuke, skulking around after dark...she can't say she's fond of people who do that.]

Perhaps you should attend to those things, then. Or are they not enough?

[That may help the noise coming from the boom box, but not so much from Heisuke's mouth. When he sees the purple barrier thing suddenly surround the music player, he uh... freaks out a bit.]

W-what the... Just how much can this thing do?! What the hell is it doing now?!

[You know, he did that to stop all of the loud noises!]

...That was me. [The boy still in his jammies, half asleep.]

[Heisuke's awful at making excuses, really..]

Well uh... I guess you can say I'm also a night person? Y'know, goin' to sleep late and sleepin' in and stuff!

[Woah... He stares at the dial in amazement.]

Woah... N-no way... That's it?!

That's it! You've never seen a radio before have you?

[fadhsjsahkd oh man. This is terrible.

Maron will glance at it, trying to figure out what form it is: CD, radio, whatever else...

...but finally just opt to hit the power button. Glorious silence! There's a sleepy smile at that, and a half-laugh.]

Ehehe. There. Now maybe I can get some sleep.

Past midnight? What, is the bar scene here getting old already?
